Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, was first launched in 1997. During the seven seasons, the vampire-themed series finally reached its final episode in 2003. So, for 15 years there has been no new film from this beautiful vampire exterminator.

And now, Buffy will return to action in a reboot produced by 20th Century Fox Television. It’s just that this time it’s not Sarah Michelle Gellar anymore who is the main character.

Same board of directors

While on the other hand, the original version of creator Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Joss Whedon will sit in the producer chair with Gail Berman, Fran and Kaz Kazui and Joe Earley from the Berman’s Jackal Group.

The last four names are known as producers of Buffy the Vampire Slayerzaman Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Issues sophisticated with supernatural metaphors

Still, from the Deadline, this new version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is picking up the settings of the present. Even so, the background of the vampire mythology will still follow the original version. Another change is the main character in the film, Buffy, will undoubtedly be played by African-American actress aka Afro. Even so, the identity of Buffy’s cast has not yet been announced, because the entire cast for this new film has not yet entered the audition stage.

In a statement, the ranks of producers said that significant changes were a symbol of the world of people who are various with all the problems faced today. His stories will explore modern issues through the use of supernatural metaphors.

Buffy was doubted that he would ‘live’ again

While it was launched from Screen Rant, previously there was little doubt that Buffy the Vampire Slayer would be reproduced. Because not a few who claim to reboot the old film will not be successful without the original cast ranks.

As previously stated, Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been liked by viewers. Watching the film with a different cast would be surprising. Also, a film will not get a TV station that wants to broadcast it, so that someone wants to fulfill the position of the scriptwriter and director in the production process.

However, Buffy’s creator, Joss Whedon did not break down and continued to advance while believing in rebooting his film would reap success like its predecessor. Finally, he found Monica Owusu-Breen as a scriptwriter and 20th Century Fox Television.
