Game of Thrones

With a fantasy setting during the federalism era that involves knights, swords, and even mystical elements, many people who have never watched Game of Thrones think that they will be presented with lots of action scenes. If you are one of them, don’t be surprised if you will be presented with so many dialogues while watching it.

So filled with dialogue, some say that this series is actually a telenovela or soap opera, but packaged in such a cool way. Don’t get me wrong, conversations between characters in Game of Thrones will make you understand more about the storyline which is filled with plot twists. But, that doesn’t mean we won’t see war in it.

There are battle scenes in Game of Thrones that will make us sit and hold our breath while watching it. Some of the war scenes that are very well known are, Battle of the Blackwater (season 2, episode 9), Battle of Castle Black (season 4, episode 9), Battle at Hardhome (season 5, episode 8), Battle of the Bastard (season 6, episode 9) and Battle of Winterfell (season 8, episode 3).

Battle of Winterfell itself broke the record as the longest war scene in the history of a television series because it presents a very intense action scene lasting 40 minutes. Aftermath

A lot of negative criticism was directed at the final episode of the series produced by the producer duo D & D. Most of them are disappointed with the development of Daenerys Targaryen’s character who becomes full of revenge and anger, thus making her the main antagonist towards the end of the story.

The disappointment of fans also seemed to peak when Daenerys, who was already considered one of the protagonists, failed to claim the Iron Throne and died at the hands of Jon Snow, the man she loved.

Game of Thrones viewers seem to have forgotten the ‘rules of the game’ that apply in their favorite series. As mentioned above, ‘don’t have a favorite character, because your favorite character will die. No exception, Daenerys Targaryen the Mother of Dragon.

There is one character in Game of Thrones, who is guaranteed to be alive in both the film and the book. She is Arya Stark. Because is said, Parris McBride, wife of George RR Martin likes the tomboyish girl character, and she has convinced George not to kill her favorite character.

Always following the standard of the book, starting from season 6, Benioff and Weiss are no longer referenced from the A Song of Ice and Fire series despite following the guide given by George RR Martin. Including, the ending of the story that the author calls will leave a ‘bitter sweet impression.

Overall – even though it has a negative ending – Game of Thrones is still a series that deserves to be watched. The plot with astonishing and well-maintained twists, along with its ability to play with the audience’s emotions, makes Game of Thrones a must-watch TV series on HBO.
